Undergraduate Admissions

| SungKyul University accepts qualified students
from foreign countries for admission to the regular
academic program as well as to the exchange program
for short-term experience. International Applicants
who have met following criteria will be considered
for admission on an individual basis. |
Korean residents living in foreign countries |
a. Korean residents whose
parents are living in a foreign country and have
completed at least 2 years of high school education
in outside of Korea
b. Korean residents whose parents have been employed
in a foreign country and have completed at least
2 years of high school education at an accredited
high school in outside of Korea
c. Korean residents who have completed at least
9 years of secondary school education or equivalent
in a foreign country and have completed their high
school education in Korea |
Foreigners |
a. Foreign students whose
parents hold a foreign citizenship or completed
at least 2 years of high school education at an
accredited high school in their country or in Korea.
b. Foreign students who have completed at least
12 years of their secondary school education in
their country. |
ADMISSION PROCEDURE

| Generally the academic year in Korea begins in
March and ends in December each year. The term of
first semester is from early March to middle of
June, and the second semester is from late August
to early December, about 16 weeks after registration
for each semester. |
1. International
applicants (Korean residents in abroad and foreigners)
who have completed their high school education in
outside of Korea
For admission to the regular academic program, all
necessary documents and applications should be submitted
to the admission office by middle of December each
year. Once the application is qualified with our
criteria, applicant will be notified by the end
of January each year.
2. International applicants (Korean residents in
abroad and foreigners) who have completed their
high school education in Korea
These applicants require to be recommended by their
high school principal for admission to the regular
academic program prior to submit their application
to the admission office. All other procedures are
same as above.
3. Applicants those who desire to apply to the Division
of Theology, Church Music, and Physical education
for mission must submit a verification of baptism,
which signed by their church pastor. |
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

1) Completed application form (presented by the
university)
2) Certificate of high school completion
3) Official transcripts from primary, middle, and
high school
4) Certificate of entry into and exit from Korea
(issued by Immigration Office at the airport; those
who have never been in Korea do not have to submit
this document.)
5) Family census register or a document which is
equivalent to family census register.
6) Certificate of alien registration
7) Two sheets of photo
8) Self-introduction(presented by the university)
9) Financial affidavit: The applicant's or personal
sponsor's bank statement with more than a month-long
balance equal to or more than 10,000US dollars or
a statement of remittance or exchange of more 10,000US
dollars |
