| SungKyul University is located in Anyang-city, a southwestern suburb of Seoul. It occupies about 45 acre of land under the mountain Suri which has great views on the surrounding area. Its location is nearby the downtown of Anyang-city, take about 20 minutes driving distance. There are many facilities around the campus such as Cultural Center of Anyang-city, take about 15 min. walking distance, hospital 5 min. walking distance, post office, several banks and many fine restaurants. |

| SungKyul University is a fully recognized educational institution by the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development of Korea to confer baccalaureate degrees and post-graduate degrees to those who have successfully accomplished all the academic requirements arranged by the University. In particular, the degree of B. Th. is approved by the ATA (Asia Theological Association) for further studies in Theology abroad. |

| SungKyul University is rooted on the Jesus Korea SungKyul Church (JKSC) in its Doctrine of Christian Faith and has deep relationship with many local churches of JKSC. As it is mentioned, it is a member of ATA (Asia Theological Association) so as to become one of the recognized theological schools in Asia and also an affiliate member of Jerusalem University College which confers recognition from other affiliate members of JUC worldwide. |
| First Coming into Existence |
| In the 1960s, there was a big conflict among the Korea Holiness (SungKyul) Churches. With the leadership of Dr. Kim, Eung Cho, some of the church leaders gathered and formed board of trustees. The SCU was established in 1962 by these leaders with the purpose of educating the pastors with conservative faith who could complete the great missions of world evangelization. In 1963, the SCU moved into the first campus in Chongno, Seoul which was donated by deaconess Hong, Dae Shil, and admitted 30 student with the Government's approval. |
| Signs of Growth |
| As the school grows year in and year out, it moves to the present campus in Anyang in 1975. In those days, our nation was in the middle of the big economic progress, and it required of a lot of educated people in every part of the society. To meet the nation's need, the SCU had undertaken the great expansion in the department of Humanities and Social Sciences. In 1991 the new building equipped with the library and offices for professors has been built to meet the great educational needs. As the SCU becomes an accredited 4-year university in 1992, it has added up the department of Natural Science into its educational system, and the SCU continues to make a great progress. |
| Policy of Specializing Education |
| Our Univ. is carrying out a new policy of specializing education as we face the new educational era of opening and competition. The new policy is to bring up the Gospel-oriented faithful church leaders and the creative professionals demanded from each part of our society. Especially, we are trying to effectively utilize the excellent human and material resources in our univ. for the service of the local community by opening the doors to the community. |

| The aim of our education is to raise up the men and women of faithful characters through religious training, and the professionals through education and study. |
| Organization and Facilities |
| Unifying the similar department and divisions into several colleges, our Univ. offers the students the opportunity for double major and minor studies. The Univ. also offers the opportunity of education to the local community by establishing the Continuing Education Center and provides the foreign language education to the students. Especially, in 1997, the SCU has faced a new chance to take a big step ahead as it has been nominated by the Government as a university which could choose the number of students on its own in admissions. In addition, the SCU started building a new school building which was planned for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Jesus Korea Sungkyul Church. |

| SungKyul University opens the door for the qualified professors from every part of the world and support their research activities so that they can provide high quality education to our students. We also provide our students the opportunity to study foreign languages in abroad and to experience the Missions in real setting by supporting them with funds for their air fairs. |
| Scholarship |
| In addition to the tens of scholarships we now have, we are expanding to develop more kinds and categories. There are more than 30 scholarships from outside such as founder, Kim, Eung-Cho's; former chairwoman, Hong, Dae-Shil's and the present chairman, Han, Kang-Soo's. |
